Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Social Charm handles account data, uploaded media, generated content, and future connected social account data.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to Social Charm websites, apps, account features, upload flows, video processing, billing, support, and connected social features. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, and the choices available to you.

When you use a third-party platform such as TikTok or LinkedIn, that platform also processes your information under its own privacy policy, terms, developer terms, and platform rules.

2. Information we collect

Account information may include your name, email address, authentication details, workspace settings, onboarding preferences, plan, credits, billing status, and support messages.

Content information may include videos you upload, generated clips, transcripts, captions, titles, descriptions, hashtags, brand guidelines, logos, processing status, source metadata, result files, feedback, and download activity.

Technical information may include IP address, device and browser details, pages visited, log data, security events, cookie or similar identifiers, and service diagnostics.

Payment information is processed by our payment provider. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers on Social Charm servers.

3. Connected social account data

If you connect a social platform account for scheduling or publishing, we may collect and process information authorized by you and the platform. This may include account identifiers, profile names, page or organization identifiers, permitted scopes, access tokens, refresh tokens, token expiry details, post text, media references, scheduled times, publishing status, errors, and other metadata needed to provide the connected feature.

For TikTok and LinkedIn integrations, we use official authorization flows where available and request only the permissions needed for the feature you choose. We do not ask for social platform passwords.

We do not use connected platform data to build unauthorized profiles, sell personal information, track users outside the service, or supplement databases about people, devices, content, or browsing behavior for unrelated purposes.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide Social Charm, process uploads, generate clips and captions, manage accounts, operate subscriptions and credits, deliver results, provide support, personalize workspace settings, troubleshoot errors, secure the service, prevent abuse, and communicate service updates.

When scheduling or publishing features are available, we use connected platform data to authenticate your account, display eligible destinations, prepare scheduled posts, submit posts you authorize, report publishing status, handle platform errors, and comply with platform documentation and rate limits.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve service performance, reliability, and product quality.

5. How we share information

We share information with service providers that help us operate Social Charm, such as hosting, storage, video processing, AI processing, authentication, email, payment, security, diagnostics, and customer support providers. They may process information only as needed to provide services to us or comply with law.

We share content and instructions with connected social platforms only when needed to authenticate an integration, display connected account information, submit scheduled or published content that you authorize, retrieve publishing status, or comply with platform requirements.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, security investigation, rights enforcement, merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets. We do not sell your personal information or connected social platform data.

6. Retention and deletion

We retain account, billing, upload, generated content, and technical information for as long as needed to provide Social Charm, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, maintain security, and keep business records.

You may request deletion of your account or specific personal information by contacting privacy@socialcharm.io. We may need to retain limited information where required for legal, security, tax, accounting, billing, dispute, fraud-prevention, or backup purposes.

If you disconnect a social account, revoke platform permissions, delete your Social Charm account, or if a platform integration ends, we will stop using the related access tokens and delete or de-identify connected platform data within a commercially reasonable period unless retention is required by law, security, billing, or platform compliance obligations.

7. Your choices

You can update account information, billing settings, onboarding preferences, and brand settings through the app where those controls are available. You can also contact us to request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection where applicable law provides those rights.

You can revoke a connected social platform permission through the account settings for that platform or through Social Charm controls when available. Revoking permissions may disable scheduling, publishing, status checks, and other connected features.

You can choose not to provide certain information, but some features may not work without it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including controls for authentication, storage, access, monitoring, and incident response.

No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for using secure devices and networks when accessing Social Charm.

9. International processing

Social Charm and our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, and other locations where we or they operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

10. Children

Social Charm is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to Social Charm, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

11. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as updating the date on this page or providing an in-app or email notice where appropriate.

Connected platform commitments

If you connect TikTok or LinkedIn, we use platform data only to provide the connected feature you authorize, maintain and secure the integration, and comply with platform requirements. We do not sell platform data, use it for unauthorized profiling, or share it with another app except as needed to operate Social Charm for you.
